Kelso – Longview Elks Lodge #1482
Voted All American Lodge in 2010-2011, 2011-2012, 2018-2019
On July 10th, 1924, Kelso Elks #1482 was founded. On July 15th, 1926 the Longview Elks Lodge #1514 was founded. In December of 1998 The two lodges merged and became the Kelso-Longview Elks Lodge #1482. Also known as "The Friendly Lodge"! Our members, volunteers and employees have worked very hard to earn and maintain that title. Stop by and see us. We’ll do everything we can, to make you feel at home.
We are a very active lodge, sponsoring many community events, supporting not only the Grand Lodge and State projects, but making sure that the children in our community are taken care of at home and in our schools. Doing whatever we can to support out Veterans.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (B.P.O.E)
The Elks organization was founded in New York City on February 16, 1868 under the name “Jolly Corks” by 15 actors, entertainers and others associated with the theater. In ensuing years, membership expanded to other professions.
The Order is a non-political, non-sectarian and strictly American fraternity. Proposal for membership in the Order is only by invitation of a member in good standing. To be accepted as a member, one must be an American citizen, believe in God, be of good moral character and be at least 21 years old.
